Massimo Ostini, SWITZERLAND

In everyday life, I have been a natural science teacher for 12 years. For the past 5 years, I have also been involved in the leadership of the institute and have also been involved as an expert in following up with colleagues in my region.
In my work, in addition to being in contact with young people aged 11-15, I work side by side with management colleagues in running the institution. My duties are to manage the platform with the information of students and colleagues, as well as to organize the school's activities.
In the role of an expert, I am responsible for following up with colleagues from other institutes so that their teaching complies with the requirements; in addition, I am also responsible for evaluating their work.
In the world of twirling, I have been a Swiss national judge since 2005 and a WBTF judge and clinician since 2010. Since 2011 I have been in charge of judges in my country and am part of the Swiss board.
In 2020 I was appointed to the Executive Technical Committee of the WBTF as Member-at-large and technical officer of the European commission.

In the ETC, I mainly collaborated in the creation of the new judging system, working toward the goal of seeing it implemented in 2026.
For the future, the big goal is to find ways to implement a new consistent and clear system for other freestyle events.
During the term, in collaboration with other members, I will be able to make my teaching knowledge available to make refresher courses more accessible and engaging.
At the European level, I was responsible for the competitions of the last few years, and together with the other members of the commission, I negotiated the union with NBTA Europe and proposed the new format of the continental competitions.
